New York has the largest subway system in the world. It brings fresh energy into the city every morning - and carries it out every night. Every forest, both natural or man-made, requires a system to replenish its life. And one day last year our system carried 7.5 million riders. It's our town's musical, brassy, rhythmic life blood.
